Our Founders
Santosh Jadhav Co-Founder, Indian Farmer
Santosh Jadhav, from Karve village in Sangli district, pursued his passion for agriculture despite his family’s expectations for him to pursue a career in medicine. In 2015, he made the bold decision to leave the family business in Prayagraj and return to his roots in Maharashtra. There, he transformed his approach to farming by focusing on high-value crops like coloured capsicum and grapes, marking the beginning of his innovative journey in agriculture.
In 2017, Santosh joined forces with Akash Jadhav to co-found Indian Farmer, launching a movement to uplift farming through education and hands-on experience. With over a decade of practical farming experience, Santosh brings deep insights into the challenges farmers face daily. His commitment to sustainable farming and modern techniques has helped Indian Farmer create over 5,000 educational videos, making him a trusted voice in the agricultural community.
Santosh’s dedication to modernizing farming practices has ignited a shift among farmers, inspiring them to embrace new methods that not only boost their income but also protect the environment, strengthening the future of Indian agriculture.
Akash Jadhav Co-Founder, Indian Farmer
Born and raised in Vita, Maharashtra, Akash Jadhav has always been keenly aware of the agricultural challenges faced by rural communities. With a background in mechanical engineering, Akash blended his technical expertise with his passion for filmmaking and entrepreneurship.
In 2017, he co-founded Indian Farmer with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between traditional farming practices and modern technology. Akash’s unique approach to content creation—combining education with storytelling—quickly turned Indian Farmer into a vital platform for millions of farmers across India. He spearheads content planning and production, ensuring the channel not only educates but also empowers farmers by offering them access to innovative agricultural techniques and solutions.
Akash’s vision goes beyond content creation. He is dedicated to building a thriving agricultural ecosystem that promotes sustainable farming, increases productivity, and ensures a future where healthy, nutritious food is available to all.
